Hello folks! Today, I'm going to describe the best games of 99. Plenty of games were released in 1999, so I had to divide those games in some category.

1. Sports Games

WCW Nitro can be rated as the number 1 wrestling game of 1999 because of it's great features. First of all comes it's realistic graphics. Each wrestler in this game as some general moves like piledriver, powerbomb, suplex etc. Each also holds 3 special moves including finishers. Players can see their wrestler's video too. WCW offers 17 players to paly with which can be expanded to 67 after trying the cheats!

EA Sports and Codemasters are the best known developer of Cricket Games. Cricket 99 was released by EA and Brian Lara Cricket 99 was released by Codemasters. Both of them took a lot of space to install. But they are very enjoyable. Both of them featured commentators and other stuffs that a good cricket game should have. So I recommend you play both of them.

EA is everywhere! After the huge success of FIFA98, they released FIFA99, another best-selling soccer game. I liked all the movies, commentry, players etc. in this game. NBA99 is undoubtly the most popular game among baskterball lovers. I heard that\~ Codemasters released "Pete Sampras". So, why not rate it as the tennis game of the year!

2. Racing Games

I was very excited when I heard that NFS 4 was released. But I was not so impressed when I bought it. Firstly, I had to mess with the crack file. Then, I realized that it is specialized for 3d Cards. Test Drive 5 from Accolade is a really cool racing game. TD5 lets you handle some modern cars as well as old (You may call them classic) ones. Choose the car, pick the track and go for racing! This game supports 3dFx. It ran smoothly in my computer. StarWars Phantom Menace from LucasArts is another hell of a racing game. According to the movie, Spacewalker uses the modern spacecraft to race against alien enemies. Your duty is to control the wonderful craft to win all the races. Your spacecraft can go as fast as 600 KM/Hour! The graphics of Phantom Menace is pure eye candy. The gameplay is awesome. I think this is the best racing game of '99.

3. Strategy Games

After the great success of AOE, Microsoft released the second game of Age of Empires Series this year. It requires 300 MB of HD Space (NO CD required). It should satisfy any gamer who liked AOE 1. It offers you a lot of weapons to use and many nations to control. I also heard that Tiberian Sun is good but didn't play it. Commando 2 is another game that is ver popular among us. Overall, I rate AOE2 as the best strategy game of 99.

4. Fighting Games

I love Fighting Games and I play them alot. Street Fighter Zero 2 was released in February. The game was fun to play but the characters reminded me of cartoons. There was a rumor going on that MK5 is going to be released in 1999. King of Fighters 98 Special Edition was released in late 98 and came to Bangladesh in 1999. Kof98 SE had 35 players. Each had different moves, combos and super powers. The game took only 70 MB HD Space. It can be called addictive. You can edit your settings or select modes. You can either play single or team up with 2 players. SNK did a great job by creating such an awesome game as it is the coolest fighting game in my opinion.

5. Adventure Quest For Glory 5 was a flop as it had an awful graphic system and sound. Tomb Raider 3 has not been so popular as the previous one. But TR4 will surely satisfy TR fans. Lara is back with new skills and a new look who is now continuing her adventure in Egypt. Can anybody tell me how was POP3d?

6. Shooting Games You won't believe this one!! I used to be get scared to play Quake I. So, I avoided this kinda games. But, when I try the 2 demos of Q3 & Unreal Tournament, I enjoyed fragging all the opponents that came to my sight. Both of the 2 games feature some cool weapons & AI. I suggest you to try them because they are worth playing.

7. Others Falcon 4 is an exceptional simulation game. If you liked the Old Falcon 3 released back in 1992 then probably you'll love Falcon 4. Kids should have a lot of fun by playing Jazz2 from Epic Megagames. This time Jazz has a partner named Spazz. "You don't know jack" is the unchallenged puzzle game of 1999.
