About The J.D.C Festival '99

Debate is a kind of fighting, but the waepons are logic, information, intelligence and the art of speaking Debate is one of the greatest means of communication, which helps growing friendship between people. This helps us to increase our knowledge and to know people of different communities, different thoughts. From debating we learn leadership, we learn teamwork, formalities and lot of such things. That's why debating clubs are established in almost every school now a days. And, so was done in our school.
The spirit of debating has lived on the generation of Josephites since 1969. And I feel privileged to act as the Vice President of Josephite Debating Club in its 30th year.
Our debating club, which has been shown the direction, so long by Mr. Moinuddin Ahmed, is producing good debaters every year. We not only want to produce good debaters, but also good, active, and responsible citizens. and we always hope to do so.
This is the first time in the history of JDC, that we are going to arrange a grand festival and I feel indeed highly privileged to work for this programme, with Mr. Moinuddin Ahmed, without whom nothing would have been posible. Because of the dedication of the members of the executive committee, the club and the great of our respected Moinuddin Sir ( who has always been some on like a friend ) the programme is possible. So, I would now like to take the opportunity to give them a basket full of thanks from the very bottom of my heart.
This year of our ambitions is going to show its face in reality - " The J.D.C Festival 1999 ". I hope our aspiration, in our time, with hard labour and of course the blessings of God, is accomplished and that our next generation can continue to make our dream true.
